Cheer up Matty Ice

This game was Terrell Suggs ugly for Matt Ryan but they still in the end won. The last guy to do this was Bart Starr in 1967 with the Packers and they won the Super Bowl that year. So I guess maybe in hindsight its not that rough for Matty Ice to deal with. It has gotta be rough though considering his start to this football season where he was having the start and what most would say would be the season of his career. Now ESPN and all my sports friends and everyone else who was all over Ryan's jock now say Ryan and the dirty birds are in trouble. I mean earlier this season in week two Eli put up three picks against the Bucs and the Giants were still able to pull out the W. But then again they were playing the Arizona Cardinals thats not really the most explosive team in the league by any means and we all know that. Fantasy Football wise Ryan has been a god coming off his 35.40 point 400 plus yard game against the Saints. Yes I know they lost that game but still only one pick and 400 plus yards he was solid in my eyes. Either way the Birds are sill 9-1 with a comfy lead in the NFC South ahead of the 6-4 getting hot Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Well wow look at that, Buccaneers and Falcons just so happen to face off this upcoming sunday in their week 12 face-off at 1:00 @ Raymond James Stadium

After a week 10 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals which the Giants got mopped, Giants members put their football aside to do what needed to be done for their teams stomping ground. Superbowl winning kicker Steve Weatherford told teammates and coaches that he felt the team needed to do something for Hurricane Sandy victims in New Jersey who are in desperate times. The team did just that when they took a ride into Seaside Heights on their day off to lend a hand to the community in every way possible. Defensive end Justin Tuck, Kicker Lawrence Tynes, and Center Kevin Booth headed over to the community food bank in New Jersey to whip up some bagged bologna and cheese sandwiches for those in need of food. Over 350 lunches and bottled water was carted down by team members such as Steve Weatherford, Prince Amukamara and other teammates to distribute amongst the victims of Sandy. Steve Weatherford, Prince Amukamara and other teammates also headed out to spend time with first and emergency responders who have been working around the clock to give their best efforts in the restoration process. Weatherford commented saying “right now it is all about being role models and representing the New York Giants.” The meet and greet moved from emergency responders such as Coast Guard and National Guard members to a local high school football team. The Tom’s River East Raiders (High school team in New Jersey) spent some time with the Giants teammates in the meet and greet session. Signed footballs and conversation with the team seemed to put a smile on the teams faces which is so important considering the times their town is witnessing. Then finally to end the day the New York Giants organization made out a check of $2,500.00 to the Raiders football team to try and help them restore their program which was compromised in Sandy’s wrath. The argument was always made that the team should be called the New Jersey Giants instead of the New York Giants because they play their home games in New Jersey. That may make sense but New York or New Jersey on that day you could tell where the teams heart was.
