Luck of the Irish ?

By Anthony Scaperrotta on January 26th, 2012

The Boston Celtics hit the hard wood thursday night with the Orlando Magic just three days prior to their last meeting where the Boston Celtics scored a franchise low of 56 points when they were scarped by the Magic in the first meeting. Would the Celtics come to the same fait yet twice? It sure seemed that way after the first half ended with the Magic leading by a demanding dominant 27 points. This all however changed in Boston's favor when small forward Paul Pierce lit it up 24 point with 10 assists and 6 rebounds. He spread the fire around the court when his veteran team Celtics went on a 27-8 run, At that point it seemed the Magic had lost control. The Celtics pulled this win out with a win being the effect of their 44-15 run in the final 17 minutes of the contest. The final score was 91-83 in favor of the Celtics, The Orlando Magic went 2 for 17 from the field in the 4th quarter. The 21 point halftime comeback being the largest since 1996 where they overcame 23 a point deficit against the Indiana Pacers. The Boston Celtics move to 8-9 on the season 2nd in the eastern atlantic division behind the Philadelphia 76's by 3.5 games.
